What is Flora's Walk?
Flora’s Walk is Canada’s largest perinatal mental health fundraiser taking
place in over 40 cities across Canada. The event happens in May, World Maternal Mental Health Month, with the intention of calling attention to the need for improved perinatal mental health care. Flora’s Walk is named after Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically died by suicide in 2022 from undetected and untreated postpartum psychosis. On this day, we honour Flora and all those impacted by perinatal mental health concerns, by raising awareness of the issue andbringing together a community of support around the cause.

Community Members
Anyone in the community who cares about the well-being of little ones and the big ones who raise them are invited to join in!
Prospective, Expecting, Postpartum & Early Years Families
If you are in the thinking about having a family, extending your family or are a perinatal or early years parent, we would love to have you!
Community Care Providers
We love showing our community members all of the caring perinatal and early years professionals and services in our very own community! If this is you, we hope you will count yourself in!

How Can I Get Involved?

Join Us On Event Day
Option 1: Join our community team as an individual or small team and help raise funds! (OPTIONAL)
Go to Team White Rock / South Surrey and click "Join this Team." You will be prompted to set up a personal fundraising page where you or your team can track your own progress! Don't forget to complete Option 2 below!

Option 2: Sign up to participate on our Flora's Walk community Facebook event page and walk with us! No page set up required.

Donate to our Team
Go to our Canada Helps Page:
Team White Rock / South Surrey and click "Donate to this Team."
You do not have to donate to a specific participant or team but you are welcome to!

Any individuals or businesses who would like to receive a charitable donation receipt from supporting national charity Healthy Start, Healthy Future, Inc. will use this option.

Go to Life WIth A Baby website and click "Register" and enter your email. You will then be prompted to
determine your sponsorship level.
Sponsor "Team White Rock / South Surrey" and select "Invoice Me." You will receive an invoice from supporting national charity Healthy Start, Healthy Future to be counted as a business expense.
